After Judy Garland's personal difficulties forced her removal from the project, Paramount "loaned" MGM the services of Betty Hutton who enjoyed her greatest triumph in the title role originally created on stage by Ethel Merman. A young Howard Keel delivered a breakthrough performance in this MGM debut as Frank Butler. The spirited 1950 musical was nominated for four Academy Awards and won the Oscar for its scoring of such beloved Irving Berlin classics as "Doin' What Comes Natur'lly," "I Got the Sun in the Morning," and the anthemic "There's No Business Like Show Business." Also included are four outtake musical numbers, including two sung by Judy Garland.
